One thing I have learned over the years as a Small Business owner and manager is that it is most definitely worthwhile getting to know people in similar role across a local level. These networks are vital for exchanging ideas and introducing new clients and suppliers as well as new workers.

So this afternoon I would like to pay a good friend of mine a small favour. Luke has been in the painting and decorating trade for many years, and his business has expanded considerably under his careful stewardship and eye for detail. He has built up a list of repeat customers across the three counties, and most recently he decided to set up a new website for his Cheltenham Decorating operations.

Dividing the company into groups in this manner, Luke believes, will let him develop a better presence in each area and to build up a loyal client base in the coming years.
